Well, it is 35 degrees celsius here in sunny Alberta - that would be 95 Fahrenheit to you folks south of the border....
So I spent the afternoon in the shade, putting the finishing touches on this rock that I painted for beside our backyard pond.
Those of you that know me well know that I have a thing for faeries, so if you come to my backyard, know that certain behaviour will NOT be tolerated!
A heartfelt space where creativity and grandmotherhood intertwine to support mental well-being. Through my art, crafts and writing, I honor the bonds of family, the power of friendship, and the beauty of memories, all while nurturing my own mental health. My mission is to inspire others to find peace and joy through creativity, rooted in the timeless values of family, remembrance, and the unique role of being a grandmother.

Sticky
The summer of 1977, my parents loaded us up in the new Suburban, and we headed west towards the ocean. On the way, we stopped for snacks, and Mom and Dad bought each of us a big foot all day sucker. I think it lasted about two days...but you would have to check with my younger brothers...one of them may still have theirs.

Dance
For Illustration Friday. I thought it would be fun to leave part of this scene to the imagination. My son wanted to know why I made the boy's hands so creepy....but doesn't that make you wonder what the rest of him looks like?
Fairy's Child
I'd Love To Be A Fairy's Child
By Robert Graves
Children born of fairy stock
Never need for shirt or frock,
Never want for food or fire,
Always get their hearts desire:
Jingle pockets full of gold,
Marry when they're seven years old.
Every fairy child may keep
Two ponies and ten sheep;
All have houses, each his own,
Built of brick or granite stone;
They live on cherries, they run wild--
I'd love to be a Fairy's child.
I made this card to exchange with another artist...
Open Your Heart To Angels
Another card I made for the Guardian Angel Artist group. This card is going to a family who has recently suffered the loss of their husband and father.
Mermaid
This lovely lady is on a page in my journal....now I have to figure out how to fill in the rest of the page!!!

JUNGLE
When I saw that the theme for this week was "jungle" the lyrics to this song just popped into my head. I did the inital drawing of the lion with a sharpie marker. The rest was done with my Tria Markers, and a pigma micron.
For those of you that always ask me how long it takes me to do a page, this one took me an hour from start to finish.
I hope you like it!
