This was one of the songs that I used for my daughters grade six graduation slide show. I love the lyrics...so I decided that I would put them into my journal. I used several different shading techniques on this page - and puff printing from my class. I am very happy with the end result. I think I will do more lyric pages. There are so many great songs out there!

grand piano
Dawn Supina, a fellow member of the Pointy Hat Art Posse, asked me if I could do a couple of illustrations for her niece and nephew. This piano is one of them. Why red? Why not!!

Black & White
For Illustration Friday. I couldn't leave the drawing exclusively black and white; I had to add a little purple shading. I used a micron .005 pen, and a zig brushable pen for the shading.

Goth Hand
For another hand challenge! I did this one with a little help from Ed Emberley's Big Green Drawing Book...kids books are a great place to find drawing instructions that will not frustrate you!

Digital Wisdom
For the Illustration Friday challenge. The theme: Digital. Check out IllustrationFriday.com for more cool interpretations!
Everyday Matters Challenge
The challenge was to draw one of your tools. I love this hammer - I use it to set eyelets in all of my papercrafts.
Pointy Hat
For the Pointy Hat Art Posse - an art group that I belong to. We all had to create a "pointy hat" - so this was my attempt!
My First Altered Art Attempt
This was my first attempt at altering a board book. I chose the theme "In My Life" (my favourite Beatles song) for this book, and tried to include some of my lettering and drawing in it as well as found images.

Illustration Friday - ENVY
For Illustration Friday. Doesn't it seem like there is always someone that shines JUST A LITTLE BRIGHTER than you do? Junior High all over again...
nv
For Illustration Friday. The theme is "envy" - but I could not resist. These were my initials before I got married, so I have had quite a bit of practice...
