floral lady
An altered magazine photo. I made the flowers out of various paper, etc. The tie-dyed flowers are actually baby wipes coloured with watercolour paint. (Another technique from Bernie's wonderful book - see below!)
This will eventually become a page in an art journal.

This week's prompt for Illustration Friday was "idle". I found this great quote by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, and it was perfect for what I wanted to do...watercolours, a fine line black pen, and a white gel pen were my tools of choice.

This is another page in the altered art journal that I have. A little bit of everything, I like to combine my own lettering and doodles with found art. I added beads to the design on the bottom right of the page - the front of a thank you card I received.
