Idle

Idle, originally uploaded by sapphire252.

This week's prompt for Illustration Friday was "idle". I found this great quote by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, and it was perfect for what I wanted to do...watercolours, a fine line black pen, and a white gel pen were my tools of choice.

magical woman

This is a 4 x 6 postcard, once again a combination of collage, and my own lettering. I just loved her face.

Classic Page

This is another page in the altered art journal that I have. A little bit of everything, I like to combine my own lettering and doodles with found art. I added beads to the design on the bottom right of the page - the front of a thank you card I received.

Dollar Store Key Chain

Dollar Store Key Chain, originally uploaded by sapphire252.

I found these great key chains at Dollarama...lots of funky designs, great for adding my own art!

I used markers and watercolour pencils to create my N.

(And for anyone in Edmonton, it was the Dollarama just south of Whyte Avenue.)

Best Daddy

This is the Father's Day Card that I made for my husband Todd. It is a sliding card which is so cool, because when you pull the ribbon, the panels come out of either side revealing the message....

certainty

certainty, originally uploaded by sapphire252.

A blissful art journaling prompt...
"I know this, for sure... "
make it a statement about something I know with certainty - that guides my decisions and shapes my life. An easy one for me - how lucky I am!
