Believe Framed
I made this last year with watercolour pencils. I had it professionally framed, and was amazed at how good it looked! There is something amazing about seeing your own art in a frame like this! I highly recommend it.
Peace Banner
A papercraft banner that I made from scrapbook paper, gold ribbons, and glitter. With a little bit of creative lettering, of course! It was easy to make, relatively inexpensive, and will be a great holiday decoration!
Peace Banner detail
Some of the banner letters in more detail. The colour combination and the use of gold and glitter gives it a real vintage feel!
Noel Framed
I did this piece last year, but only had it framed recently. What a difference a custom frame makes!
Tis the Season
I have had this frame for a very long time, but I never knew what to put into it. It now sits on my fireplace hearth. The ornaments shimmer in the firelight.

Grow
For Illustration Friday. My mind naturally went to one of my favourite quotations. I love it for obvious reasons! These are the words I live by.

The painters
This is a page in my journal. I have been experimenting a lot lately with background techniques. I thought that this quote lent itself very well to the multiple colours on this page.

For Vickie
A tribute to my internet friend Vickie Enkoff, who was very supportive of my lettering classes, and pretty much any project I undertook. I thought that the quote was very appropriate, because in spite of her illness, Vickie was always able to be a bright inspiring spirit to everyone she knew. She will be missed.
Leaf Girl
A pen and ink illustration that I did in my art journal. I did this drawing during my coffee breaks at work.

Mermaid ATC doll
This is my favourite of the ATC dolls that I made for a swap. She will fold down to the size of a regular ATC's. I like how the blues and greens worked together, once I started playing with them. These cards are A LOT of work, but they are also A LOT of fun!!!
Goth ATC Doll
This is an ATC doll that I made for a swap. She folds down to the size of a regular ATC. I like her tattoos!

California Dreaming
An ATC for PHAP's "What I did this summer" swap. Shells are bits and pieces that I found on the beach. I used Antique Embossing powder in Frosted Crystal for the sand, and UTEE for the water.

journal doodle challenge
I have discovered a new blog, called D'BLOGALA, which has these great art journal challenges every Friday. I discovered it a month into her posts, but I am trying to catch up. Here is the first one.
Written Word
These are the first two pages of a new art journal that I have started. I want to experiment more with painting backgrounds on my pages before I do my journaling.

Dream
An ATC I made using a technique I learned using packing tape...
I found it on the Split Coast Stampers website.
Sorry, it is not for trade!
pink floral atc's
I did these using markers, and some iridescent pigments. I did an entire page of this design, then cut them into the cards. The cards from this series are available for trade as well.
