Meet Me At The Garden Gate
In response to Funky Art Queen's Challenge (Link Below) - which was to create with gel pens on dark paper. When I looked at this paper, it reminded me of a starry night. I thought I would draw a garden gate, using a combination of some of the designs I created for my new More Delightful Doodles class. Using gel pens and black paper give the designs a completely different look from the original designs on white paper. I hope you like it!

Inspire Me Thursday -
The challenge this week was to try to do something in a bigger format than we are usually use to. I am use to working on ATC's, and until now, my art journals have not been bigger than 5x8. This is a page in a new journal that I have started, which is 8 1/2 x 11.
I am trying to do more pages in a diary type format, because I love to look back on these pages months and years later.

Springtime in Alberta
This is the reason that I have been having such an artful weekend! All of this snow fell here in Edmonton between 11:00 pm on Friday night and this morning.
And yes, that is my picnic table where I like to sketch in the summer time. Guess that won't be happening for a while!

No, I do not have a tattoo - but I felt like this poor foot needed SOMETHING!

My Son's Journal Page
A page in my son's journal...he loves dragons, so I copied this from a children's art book. I love how he is tearing his way out of the page!
Happy Spring!
The Pointy Hat Art Posse is going to start making cards to give out to some of the seniors at the Care Centre where we have our meetings. Even though it is not Spring yet, I thought this would be a nice card to start with, and I will not be handing it in until the end of the month. The yellow paper is coloured with chalk, but the rest is marker.

MORE Delightful Doodles!
Well, I have a new class to introduce!
It is called MORE Delightful Doodles, and I apologize for it taking so long to hit my blog. However, I felt like the sequel had to have at least as much information as the first class, if not more. The end result is that this class has 26 pages of notes, containing 124 designs. There are vintage designs, retro designs, animals, florals, frames, backgrounds, borders, and much more! Please feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions, at nicolette.anderson@shaw.ca
