Illustration Friday: REINVENT

miracle, originally uploaded by sapphire252.

This week's theme is "Reinvent". I have been busy working on my new Creative Lettering class, so quotes have been my method of expression in the last while. I love this quote by SARK, it speaks of such hopefulness and fresh new beginnings. I think that having a fresh start is what it means to reinvent.

If you would like more information on my class, please contact me. Or visit my yahoo group at

The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger

images, originally uploaded by sapphire252.

You HAVE to read this book...an untraditional combination of science fiction and love story. Henry DeTamble is a librarian with Chrono-Displacement Disorder. He travels involuntarily through time, but as a result meets Clare Abshire, an artist whose life takes a natural course. I loved reading this story, and was sad when it was through. Did I mention that you HAVE to read this book?

Have Wheels

For Illustration Friday, the theme being TRAVEL. The snow has finally melted away here in Edmonton, and so we are enjoying all that spring has to offer. The kids have started to bring out the bikes, and the baseballs, and the scooters. It is nice to see the neighbourhood come alive again after a long winter!
